The Séance 1.0.0-alpha.2 version has been released and is now ready for download and testing. This marks an important phase in the project's lifecycle and is open for engagement from all interested individuals. As with other facets of Séance, following testing best practices is recommended for constructive collaboration and feedback.

The current version of the Séance Full Site Editing (FSE) theme is still under development. Installation, running, or testing on production or mission-critical websites is strongly discouraged. Evaluation of the Alpha version should ideally take place on a designated test server and site to ensure both safety and effective debugging during the development phase.

Engaging in issue testing is a crucial aspect of software development and presents a valuable opportunity for contribution, regardless of one's experience level. While scrutinizing the upgrade process remains fundamental, experimentation with new features is equally important. This dual approach ensures both the stability and the advancement of the software, making contributions in this area highly impactful.

Should an issue arise, it is to be expected during the Alpha stage of development. Those who encounter bugs or other issues are advised to report them directly by opening a GitHub Issue. For those skilled in generating reproducible bug reports, GitHub also serves as the platform for filing these detailed reports. It is also recommended to cross-reference any encountered issues against a list of known bugs as an initial step before formal reporting.

It is worth noting that contributions extend beyond the realm of coding. Various avenues for involvement are open, such as testing, issue triage, discussions, and design contributions for patterns and templates. Particular emphasis is placed on enhancing accessibility, aligning with the theme's goal to serve individuals with visual impairments. Exploration of open issues on GitHub is encouraged for those seeking to contribute in areas where they feel most competent and comfortable.
