It appears that the latest version (as of 8 August - 1.0.87.491) seems to break Spotijack. Spotijack launches Spotify and Audio Hijack Pro but when you press Record it closes and opens Spotify without starting playback and record. This behaviour keeps on repeating. I downgraded to 1.0.85.259 and Spotijack is working again.

Same experience here on 0.7.0 except one does not need to press Record. Spotify goes into a Quit-Launch loop. 1.0.86.337.ga8d5cef9 appear to work.

Same here. I helped myself by turning on "Do not disturb" in notifications (to get rid of all of their notorious sounds), setting audio to soundflower (which is a super neat thing to have for much more reasons °) and simply recording the audio in QuickTime. I loose the automatic splitting, but that's an easy job in Quicktime.
Btw, when recording audiobooks, I do even favor having only one audio file.

This no longer appears to be an issue (with Spotify 1.1.5.153.gf614956d at least) so I'm closing this issue.
