Is this a common use case for Shelly 2/2.5? Do fans usually have two speeds? What about single speed or three speeds? |

See some conversations that related indeed to how relevant it is here: mongoose-os-apps/shelly-homekit#337 Apart from that this type of ventilation is in Belgium and Germany mandatory. In some cases, like mine - they have 3 speeds but they should never be shut down, so you ony have two speeds to control. |
