A comment on the AUR claimed that this is actually the version of the freedesktop spec used, and is completely optional. I checked and the spec seemed to confirm this.

Isn't it a pre-release? Currently there is no changelog for 1.0.184 |

If it is a prerelease, I managed to completely miss that. Works well for one, though! |

Hi, I updated the PKGBUILD to work with the new version released 6 days ago on GitHub. It seems to build and work correctly.
