In https://git.sr.ht/~ushin/hyperdrive.el/commit/97f35b478be7ff0f10efa7812bed64b7985e1160 a workaround was added in hyperdrive. At the time, we were seeing messages from Emacs about a process sentinel and local quit being inhibited, and this appeared to be the correct fix. It should likely be made in plz as well.
