Trying to run a planet model, land seems way colder than it should be. #19
-
So I have recently gotten the model to actually compile and run, and provided it with a topography map. However, for some reason, any landmass just entirely refuses to go much above 0C, even at the equator, despite the ocean temperatures hovering around 21C. As for parameters, I'm running mostly defaults, 6 layers, T21 resolution, with wet soil switched on (switching this off has no impact whatsoever), and the vegetation model set to on (switching this off, again, has no impact whatsoever). Did anyone run into this issue before or am I horribly screwing something up? Even flat areas near the equator have the same behaviour, which seems extremely strange. |

I managed to resolve this by myself in the meantime, that was due to aquaplanet defaulting to True, disabling land simulations entirely... |
