Remembering the discussion about the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro which started in the original IPU issue ? Now, look at this beautiful slide from a recent AMD presentation: As you can see, it's advertised by AMD as an example of the millions of processors which have Ryzen AI enabled. It's a whopping lie 🙈. AMD seems to have another internal communication problem and my trust in those guys is diminishing further... |

So far the only global brand deliberately disabled Ryzen AI is Lenovo, that all their overseas |

@chicheng After confirming with the T-bao merchant, currently, models with 7840hs or higher can enable the IPU device in the BIOS, including GOD78, GOD88, GEM10, and the upcoming GEM12. |

@mkdirmushroom Is your BIOS screen from GOD78? Can you help to check the BIOS version? They released a new BIOS version for GOD78 earlier this year, but the changelog didn't mention the IPU. I just asked T-bao official taobao store customer support and they confirmed it's available now (I got a "no" answer in late December from them) |

@chicheng It is GOD78, the specific BIOS version is as shown in the figure. After confirming with the merchant again, the subsequent products will be pre-installed with the current BIOS version. |

The current screenshots in that thread are in Chinese language, so I can't confirm it's IdeaPad Pro 5 or XiaoXin Pro (which supports IPU with initial BIOS release) |

Yoga Pro 7 (Lenovo Slim Pro 7) 14APH8 also got BIOS update (MLCN28WW) enabling IPU. The IPU is mentioned in Summary of Changes section here. I've already installed it and now there is IPU device in device manager. Device manager

As of May 2024, only models match rules in any row of the following table have Ryzen AI engine, though the manufacturers can disable it in the firmware, check the tables below to find out which models have Ryzen AI enabled.
