Adding users is the task where you add your phone extensions, too. Either you map your MSN's directly or you configure the extension of your trunk.

If you have a trunk, remember the part within Routes where you added a the Gateway group. Within the second line of Inbound DIDs you receive the part of the previous line from (.*)

Choose from the menu Administration -> Users

User

Enter the username, it could be a name like "meetingroom" or somthing like "ext47". This will be the username for logging in from voip phones or other devices (like accounts on a fritzbox for example). The User can not be modified later, thus use a naming which will survive for the livetime (alternatively you need to delete and recreate an other one in this case).

Last name, Given name

The last name, Given name results in the internal phone book entry.

Ext

This is the real extension you want to connect. The extension can not be altered later as said before in User.

Pin

Set a pin for the user to login at the web interface (Do not confound the pin with a password you will need to connect your phone, the pin is for the user - the password for the device comes later).

Email

E-mail is used for sending messages (f.e. received faxes) to the extension user.

Save

Save the record.

Connecting the voip phone

To connect the account on the phone or other device you have to click on the edit symbol and note the generated password which is not the Pin, but the SIP password.

For connecting the phone you will need the User, the SIP password, the hostname or ip address of the GS3 Box and the Ext(tension).
