Just made a few changes to get this working again, though only AMF streaming works now, the others not any more...

I tried the patched version but it only plays "5 second previews" of songs. It could be I have done something wrong while configuring the new version, but either way the documentation for setting up the plugin will need to be updated.

edit: I have an account with an "Rdio Web" subscription.

Yes, noticed that too. Looks like more things have changed in the API than just the Authentication.
Looks like it's generally more strict now.
Will see if I can get it to work with subscriptions at least...

Edit:
Sadly no luck... but I found a "workaround" so AMF playback works.
If you log into the Rdio website with a browser there's a cookie called "r". If you copy the value of that cookie and place it into the rdio-state.json then that cookie will allow you to play the full song.
Looks something like this in that file then:
