Twitter is removing support for Embedded Like, Collection, and Moment Timelines.

They plan to retire them on June 23, 2021 with the expectation that it only effects 0.52% of domains who use their embed.

For the retired embedded types, they will return a link instead of the previous content that was provided, i.e.

Open questions:

  • Is there any action required on our part? Can we confirm if AMP documents will be proportionally affected to expectation?
  • Are I2D/I2R necessary here for the affected features?
  • Should we still support these retired embed types in Bento 1.0 version of amp-twitter?

Thanks for raising this @caroqliu.

Looks like a prime opportunity to do a bit of digging into:
a. Does this impact amp-twitter?
b. Is usage of amp-twitter in these modes outside the deprecation window size?
