This is a development release of IINA that supports HDR on HDR displays (including Apple XDR and others). It will automatically activate this mode for the appropriate videos. As a free bonus this version supports changing size of the thumbnails on the video timeline.
It's not signed so disabling/modifying GateKeeper settings may be necessary.
HDR is fully supported on macOS 10.15.6 and higher.
