thunar --help
Usage:

No idea how to pass files to be selected, looks like only folders are possible, files are just executed

Working only for folders (parent folder of selected file {1} or folder itself)

Explore: thunar {1}

for select file there is a workaround:

thunar just launches files and do not select them --> change resource_loc to container_loc.
