The error message is:
Failed to register: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "DescribeAll" with signature "" on interface "org.gtk.Actions" doesn't exist

I don't think it is actually a bug, since things were changed while dropping dbus-glib 7050f27. But if anyone is interest in digging this problem to enable GTK3 Thunar to live together with GTK2 Thunar, please use this issue to report your findings.

I don't think enable thunar gtk2 and gtk3 living together is possible, has they provide for example the same dbus channel, methods etc.

Ack, although it would be better to close gracefully with a message (console or dialog) such as: "Failed to start: an incompatible version of Thunar is already running"

Only occurs if thunar/gtk2 is running as daemon and than thuinar/gtk3 is launched... just to launch both of them normally works fine.
