Hi Andrew,

this is not direct an issue with the atto plugin for translation. Moodle plans to move the atto plugin from the distribution with 4.6 and disable it in 4.5. Did we need a plugin for the TinyMCE editor than?

We do.
The blocker to this has always been that TinyMCE is pretty aggressive in sanitising input and I couldn't figure out how to get it to let the span tags through.

+1

thanks fot your quick response.
Tiny is an integration partner for Moodle. I think you can contact them direct or via Moodle HQ to get support.

I don't have any retained clients using this any more so am not actively developing it...

Moodle Academy is working on a TinyMCE version of this plugin.
As Andrew mentions, making TinyMCE allow/accept the translation spans in its current form is proving a bit tricky.
But we hope to get something working soon.
