Did you check that your report is not a duplicate?

Yes, I have checked and this is a new bug not previously reported.

Bug Description

From https://community.advi3pp.com/t/5-4-0-lcd-doesnt-save-dimming-or-beeper-settings/4330

I just installed the 5.4.0 firmware on my i3+ This is my first install of ADVi3++, but I believe I did everything right. Flashed the 5.4.0 LCD firmware via a 2GB SD card and the 5.4.0 Mainboard 5.1 firmware via Cura and a USB cable. I was testing functions and found that I could adjust the beeper settings but no matter which function was toggled on the beeper would not sound. I found that when I adjust the beep duration and hit the checkmark it does not save and defaults to 0ms. Similarly, if I adjust the numerical values in the screen dimming options they do not save.

Edited to add: In the beeper settings, it will play the beep of appropriate duration as a preview when I hit the “+” or “-” buttons or enter a number manually and hit the the “ok” button, but as soon as I hit the checkmark to save the value is reset to 0.

Expected behavior

Settings should be saved.

Actual behavior

Settings are not saved.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Go to Settings / LCD
  • Change any parameter
  • Tap on the checkmark
  • Go back in LCD
  • Settings have not been changed

Same thing for Beeper but in addition, the duration is set to 0.
