As you said in #75 though, the Android management of accounts is rather strange. Other Twitter clients don't even have accounts. So whether they are there , or within And status settings, duplication is the main issue.
My observation is that all professionally made Android applications, which need "Accounts", store them in Android native "Accounts and Sync" (Account Manager), including "Twitter", "WhatsApp" etc.
Actually, duplication of "entry points" of a feature is not bad: Different people may feel that the same thing belongs to different places/categories...
In order to make sync settings easier for a User I will allow to have single default sync frequency for all accounts and all timelines (as it is now) plus ability to change this default for any individual account.
This is logical and will be done. The reason why these settings are "General AndStatus settings" are historical :-)
