The more I study, the more insatiable do I feel my genius for it to be. - Ada Lovelace

I am a 2nd year, software engineer student at RIT. This is also my very first year ever working on professional research. Currently, I'm striving to attain my Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering by 2019 and hopefully start pursuing a computing minor by next Fall. I was first introduced to Dr. Andy Meneely's Chromium Research from one of his previous researchers, Kayla Davis; prior to this academic year, I had never discovered the possibilities of constructing research with a professor. I spoke with Professor Meneely directly and was instantly interested in working with him on his ongoing Chromium Research in the Fall of 2015. The most intriguing aspect of accepting this research opportunity was not only the obvious benefits of expanding my computing, security, and analytic knowledge, but was merely the fact that I was now exposed to the ability to manage and manipulate real-time data of highly valued software developers at Google. This type of research inspires me to learn more and elaborate on the knowledge I already have within computing.

Apart from the research I am conducting with Samantha Oxley and Professor Meneely, I am actively involved as a public relations agent and Winter Ball committee head for the Society of Software Engineers, as well as a member of the public relations committee for the Women in Computing at RIT. Career-wise, I have not had many opportunities to exercise my abilities as a software engineer apart from this Summer where I worked for ERP Specialists Inc. as a lead developer. During this internship, I learned how to build, manage, and tailor software solutions for ERP and CRM software. I plan on attaining a new developer opportunity for this upcoming Summer where I can apply my skills from this academic year.
