Extremo is a project made by MISO group in collaboration with BIG group that aims at providing modelling and meta-modelling assistance. The approach gathers heterogeneous information sources in various technological spaces, and represents them uniformly in a common data model. This enables their uniform querying, by means of an extensible mechanism, which can make use of services, e.g., for synonym search and word sense analysis. The query results can then be easily incorporated into the (meta-)model being built.
- Integration of several data sources stored in a variety of formats: Extremo provides a mechanism to organize and classify resources in a common data model.
- Extensible query mechanism: The engine provides needs to support the flexible exploration of the information gathered in the common data model by an extensible query mechanism.
- Services: Queries can make use of services. Services are functions for certain data types that can be used by a particular query in a given parameter.
- Handling constraints: Additionally, our data model includes a facility to store and interpret heterogeneous constraints.
- Integration with modelling tools: Extremo has an extension point to add an action / drop support contribution to the views in order to create new elements into a model under construction.
- How to install the assistant setting up the required software and configure the IDE in the Section "Installation"
- A set of instructions and training material about how to use the assistant in your modelling project in the Section "Training Material"
- Some video demos about the tool in the Section "Video Demos"
- An empirical evaluation of the tool in the Section "Empirical Evaluation and User Study". Currently calling for participation.
