PHP Parse Error in latest update..??

He says he might be running an old version of PHP, so that might be the only problem here. We should look at adding some logic to avoid this when PHP isn't compatible, though. He updated and the entire site is down now with the error above. We should catch that somehow to keep the site from crashing, and provide a notice to the user accordingly.
