Just wanted to drop in a quick update on this issue.... With the release I've been working on I've added the ability to toggle containers. There's still a few bugs to work out and unit tests to write, but here's a working demo:

@jbroquist Thank you for working on this.
There are two features I need for this in my project Swagger Editor:

  • Ability to use animation (would be super nice if it works with ng-animate)
  • Ability to collapse/open from a button somewhere outside of the splitter

For the later I hacked a collapse-when directive for myself where if the value of attribute returns true, it collapses. You might want to use this approach
