Ansible Badges

What are Ansible Badges?

“Ansible Badges” is a way to recognize our contributors for their contributions to Ansible Community by providing a Digital Credential (Open Badge Standard).

We use Badgr to create, award and manage all the digital credentials and Badgr also makes it easier for the users to showcase these achievements to a broader audience on their social media sites.

However, Badgr requires the Name and Email ID of a contributor to award badges and you can check this link for more details on how Badgr issues the badge.

What types of contributions are recognised?

Each badge awarded is an achievement and is valued in our community. Currently, badges are awarded for the below achievements and categories:

  1. Github:

    • Submitting a code patch/PR
    • Fixing a bug
    • Maintainer
    • Reviewer
    • Owner
    • Doc issues/Fixes
  2. Events:

    • Meetups:
      • Speaker
      • Organizers & Hosts
    • Contributor Summit:
      • Speaker
  3. Video and Blogs: Technical Blog Video Content

  4. Instruqt:

    • Complete a course
    • Improve the course content by providing feedbacks/through PR.
  5. Others:
