In general, I'd like to see more detail on what this means here in the docs. This forum post is what I had in mind, and going by the last sentence, maybe we can just add this to the note:
"We will not provide bugfixes or security fixes for collections that do not provide updates for their major release cycle included in Ansible 9."

That's always been the case for collections in the Ansible package, regardless of whether the lifecycle is 6 or 12 months, but I'll add a note.
