@AlanH70... VDR2 has no playback facility - it was never intended. The recorded data is in the same format as the VDR plugin, so you could play it back with VDR (although I gather you are having difficulty with that). You could write a playback script if VDR is not working for you. It is not difficult - there is a lot of help in the JavaScript plugin user guide. You could look at the Driver script and work from there. Perhaps I might do something next winter but I am sailing for some months now. |

The only documentation evident for VDR2 appears to be on this antipole2 / VDR2 github site. There is no mention of it in the manuals or other online OpenCPN documents yet, even though this project appears to aspire to become a supplementary resource for OpenCPN users.
Here you have published a readme.md and a How_this_script_works.md. Surprisingly, there is no mention we can find in either document on Playback. The script looks to be solely one of Recording data that is "broadcast" by OpenCPN. What are we to do with the data captured by VDR2?
As VDR2 aspires to emulate and exceed the VDR Plugin surely there must be a VDR2 playback function. The point here is the preliminary documentation provided is seriously incomplete and we hope will soon be expanded for users who are not Javascript programmers able to examine your code and its annotations but who are serious sailors. Please expand your documentation of the project for us.
