Yea same here, the video is the correct length and everything, just a black screen with those words. If I change in the advanced settings to use alternate client 1# it works for now |
Thanks @cooljimy84 "Use alternate client details = Alternate #1" seems to work fine for the moment. |
What should I do with this information? Follow the issue template and provide the information requested including a log. |
Disabling HDR and high framerate seems to workaround this (for me anyway) EDIT: actually, seems like it works sometimes, so the settings probably did nothing |
And still no logs provided. Only one single person has provided a log so far, and there is simply not enough information being provided by the seemingly large number of people who are effected by this, to determine if the current fixes are sufficient or whether more needs to be done. Try https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/releases/tag/v7.0.5%2Bbeta.2 and provide a debug log, even if it works. |
Hi, how can I help. I don't know to share a debug log, where is that log suppose to be registered?
|
log of beta version playing a working video |
@MikyVlc - can you try to create a debug log by following the instructions here: https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy Unfortunately based on the information you have shared, your issue is that InputStream.Adaptive failed to load. It is a completely different problem and not actually related to this plugin. Regardless, if you can create a debug log, post the details in a new issue so it can be looked at. @das-osi - thanks for that, unfortunately like i mentioned in #659 I specifically need a debug log to provide the required information to confirm whether the problem is fully resolved or needs further changes. If you can, please install https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/releases/tag/v7.0.5%2Bbeta.2 Everyone else - this problem does not apply to everyone and has not effected me. I have no way to test whether the changes will work or whether they will simply fail again at some point. The only way to resolve the issue is if you provide a debug log. Simply saying it works or it doesn't work serves no purpose. If you want the problem fixed you need to provide the information required to fix it. |
@MoojMidge |
@MoojMidge forgot to mention: That's with the latest beta |
@das-osi - thanks for that. It shows there is still a problem with the main Android client but that the other Android client fallbacks work, without needing to use the more limited client fallbacks. Strangely though a different fallback worked for you, compared to what another users log showed. Will need to investigate what else can be done. |
Hi to all, Finally I have found the right post to this problem ! :-) I have an Eminent EM7680 box, and with the comments written here, I have found a way to avoid this problem. (I'm not really sure of the exact translation because Kodi is intalled in French on my box) It works and it seems that I don't have the message anymore. Thanks for the help. |
- Provides some useful information for issues like anxdpanic#654, anxdpanic#659, anxdpanic#663 when no debug log is provided
@ThierryWillame - appreciate the intent to help find a solution to this problem, but what you are suggesting won't work for most people, and I'm surprised it works for you either. Current beta release already largely resolves the problem, and the next beta will close the issue. If you are still having problems then you need to provide a debug log. |
v7.0.5+beta.3 was buggy, v7.0.5+beta.4 should resolve the problem: |
Latest version of plugin.video.youtube, latest version of Kodi.
Since about 24 hours I'm only getting served a 480p video with the information in the title.
Subscriptions, playlists, nothing seems to work anymore.
Even choosing another quality for a selected video only gives me the video mentioned before, just in another format.
