when i run:
roslaunch elevation_mapping_demos simple_demo.launch
appear:
[ERROR] [1487917327.529496471]: Could not get pose information from robot for time 1487917327.529461. Buffer empty?
[ERROR] [1487917327.529546411]: Updating process noise failed.

and nothing in rviz
how can i run?

You need to pass in a topic that has type geometry_msgs::PoseWithCovarianceStamped. That is different from simply PoseWithCovariance
