@kkalass has a Minify script @ https://github.com/kkalass/ScribusMinify
It's a bash script that surgically changes the .sla files
What are the thoughts on scripts that are not python based, should we have a section for them in the repo nonetheless ?

i don't think we should add scripts that are not python based and do not run inside of scribus.

in this specific case, i don't think that this script should be distributed as is:

  • but it could be used as a source of inspiration for a script that runs inside of scribus that cleanly batch switches between hi/low resolution images.
  • for most people, a solution using pdf2ps and ps2pdf (where you can set the size of the images) is probably the way to go (and that's the main reason why i want to package the commands described in the wiki in a tiny GUI tool (https://github.com/aoloe/scribus-tool-pdfshrinker))
