%Y	year (2010)
BUT
there is somthing wrong in 'a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.path = /flume/events/%y-%m-%d/%H%M/%S'

I think the right example is 'a1.sinks.k1.hdfs.path = /flume/events/%Y-%m-%d/%H%M/%S'
