This pull request unifies the codebase between 2.3 and 2.3-next.
The IE specific code has been moved out into shim classes in the quirks folder.
That way you can basically just sync down any change from next or (to some degree) 3.0 into 2.3.
Note. The base functionality still has not changed, nor has been any core code removed... it is just a code reorganisation of the existing code.
Also some unused code in the ext classes has been removed from the build.
