Introduction

Welcome,

This repository contains scripts and datasets used in a study of Cu biogeochemical cycling in the subarctic Northeast Pacific Posacka et al. 2017 (Marine Chemistry).

• Produce a map of Gulf of Alaska with line P stations, Fig.1

• Line P dataset - this is a CSV file with dissolved copper dataset for samples that have been stored for ~ 4 years at pH 2 and UV oxidized (2 h) prior to analysis with Flow Injection Analysis with Chemiluminescence detection. CTD and nutrient data are the courtesy of the Institute of Ocean Sciences, Department of Fisheries and Oceans. For additional parameters from this cruise visit the Line P program webiste

• Contour plot of DCu in top 600 m along the transect with overlaid phosphorous contours, Fig.11

• Plots of Aerosol Optical Thickness from NASA's AquaMODIS satellite (netCDF files) in the Gulf of Alaska, Fig. 12. The dataset is the courtesy of the Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center. Please visit NASA's Giovanni website to obtain the netCDF files with aerosol data.
