Builds are running go1.7.1 windows/amd64

An upgrade to 1.8 would be appreciated

You can easily install Go 1.8 (or any other released version) using Chocolatey like done here. Don't forget to do rd C:\Go /s /q first to make system Go not being found in PATH anymore (editing PATH would be more complicated), and to do refereshenv afterwards.

To clarify, this issue was not closed because of my suggested work-around, but because Go 1.8 is now actually installed by default.
