Use something like https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-simple-code-editor for the query editor, I'm picturing something similar to https://github.com/graphql/graphiql

Essentially:

Users should be able to add their custom data, but there should be a default data, we could use https://github.com/aprilmintacpineda/jql/blob/master/packages/jql-matcher/__tests__/complexity/database.json for that.
Users should be able to write and execute their own query.
Errors should be user-friendly.
