Update: Furthermore I first tried to import a Multipatch-shape which won't work with CEA. This can be confusing because even if you have LoD1-building shapes e.g. from governmental data, it won't be imported to CEA since it might be a Multipatch-feature. You'll need to produce a 2D Footprint of your multipatch. In ArcGIS it can be done via "Multipatch-Footprint". This might seem clear to many experienced users, but can be an obstacle when just getting started with CEA. By now, a "zone" import from external data works for me. Best regards |

Dear community,
I am quite new to CEA and are very impressed about the great development work that has gone into it. Much appreciation!
For my first serious project I am facing issues by trying to import zone and typology data into a new scenario. Atm I am using the dashboard but I would like to move to integrate the "workflow" functionality, once the process is running.
For my Master thesis I want to perform a building demand calculation in CEA, coming from an ArcGIS environment. For the first step I would like to create a new scenario by adding a zone and a typology. Therefore I prepare my zone geometry in ArcGIS (2D Polygon shape, column titles of the attribute table referring to the zone attribute table, that is created in a default CEA scenario). My typology input is a .csv file in which I list all the buildings in the zone with a typology profile. "Standard" and "Year" column are left "blank" meaning "None" or "0" for the moment. Eventhough I have tried a lot to make it running, I finally can't get over this error message (see very end of the log). Has anyone an idea how to solve this issue and get the scenario running? I am very thankful for any advise. Besides than that I would love to find some documentation which describes how to upload external data into CEA.
Best regards
lilaleu
PS: I'll upload a reduced example of my input files
