I dunno if that's in scope for a project that focuses on accuracy and preservation but that's just my opinion.

I wouldn't implement achievements in such a way that would degrade accuracy if I were doing this.

RetroAchievements support doesn't affect the accuracy of the game running on the emulator in any way.

I am neither an RA dev nor certain whether the given documentation includes a sufficient "list of requirements" but this is the C library that they have provided to make parsing game states and server calls easier: https://github.com/RetroAchievements/rcheevos
