This script installs Pipewire on Devuan, necessary dependencies, and permanently blocks installation of pulseaudio. This can solve many issues, such as audio devices connecting, but not outputting, on Devuan - and in general, Pipewire is far better than Pulse anyway.
This script currently only supports sysvinit and OpenRC.
- Clone this repository.
cd ~/ && git clone https://github.com/arkhiwarkhi/Pipewire-on-Devuan && cd Pipewire-on-Devuan
- Make install-pipewire.sh executable.
chmod +x install-pipewire.sh
- Run the shell script with root privileges.
doas ./install-pipewire.sh
- All done! Reboot if necessary.
Please note: This script will permanently block installation of pulseaudio on your system, preventing accidental reinstallation. To revert this, remove /etc/apt/preferences.d/pulseaudio-block.
