Working on 1012440 still and it seems like parties are getting deleted and written over with information from previous parties- I'm using your workaround from the other day and entering text before reordering parties, but it seems like once I get in to a certain number of parties, they start multiplying themselves?

Provenance as of now (wall of text)
Jacques Langlier. (Hôtel de Bullion [1738-1814]); Possibly Catherine II [1729-1796], Saint Petersburg, Russia, until April 24, 1786 [1]. Possibly Jean-Baptiste-Pierre Lebrun [1729-1796], Saint Petersburg, Russia, until April 11, 1791 [2]; Jean-Baptiste-Pierre Lebrun sale, Paris, France, until April 11, 1791, no. 361 [3]; Stroganoff Family, Saint Petersburg, Russia, on April 11, 1791, no. 361 [4]; Russian state by forced sale, Saint Petersburg, Russia, until 1917 [5]; (Russian state, Saint Petersburg, Russia, 1917 until 1931, lot 229) [6]; (Thelma Chrysler Foy [1902-1957], on May 13, 1931, lot 229) [7]; Estate of Thelma Chrysler Foy, until 1957; (sold at Parke-Bernet Galleries, New York, NY, 1957 until March 22, 1959, lot 670, illustrated) [8]; (French & Company, Inc., May 22, 1959 until 1959) [9]; (sold at Parke-Bernet Galleries, New York, NY, until 1968, lot 135, illustrated) [10]; sold at Museum, on November 14, 1968, lot 135, illustrated [11]. Purchased by Museum, 1968.
NOTES:1. Also known as Catherine the Great and Catherine II, Empress of Russia. Clodion created a larger marble version of this work in 1770 possibly for Catherine II, now in the ownership of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., accession number 1952.5. 2. Also known as Catherine the Great and Catherine II, Empress of Russia. Clodion created a larger marble version of this work in 1770 possibly for Catherine II, now in the ownership of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., accession number 1952.5.99. It is possible that this terracotta work was created as a maquette for the larger marble statue. 3. This sale happened at No. 95, rue de Cléry, Paris, France. The height of this work is listed as "Hauteur, 18 pounces; lageur 7 pouces" which translates as "height 18 inches, width 7 inches". These measurements closely match this sculpture, providing the justification for this ownership record. 4. This sale happened at No. 95, rue de Cléry, Paris, France. The exact owner of this work is unclear, however we know the work was in the collection of the Stroganoff family from the catalog of the sale of the collection in 1931. Following the Russian Revolution in 1917, many private art collections, including that of the Stroganoff family, were nationalized. The Stroganoff Palace is now home to part of the State Russian Museum. 6. Following the Russian Revolution, private art collections were nationalized by the Russian state, and the Stroganoff family emigrated with the White Movement. 7. This sale entitled "Sammlung Stroganoff", with this work sold as one of a pair listed as "Zwei Terrakottastatuetten". The sale is being listed as "Im auftrag der handelsvertretung der union der sozialistischen sowjet-republiken" which translates as "in the trade union of the Soviet Socialist Republic". The Stroganoff family's property appears to have been nationalized following the Russian Revolution. The auction catalog records the date of this sculpture as 1765, which is in error as the date signed on the sculpture is 1768. 8. Sale entitled " French modern paintings & drawings, eighteenth century French furniture, marble and terra cotta sculptures, bronze doré objects of art ...Collected by the late Thelma Chrysler Foy", this work listed as "Nymphe et Vestale" on page 94 with a photograph on page 9. This should be Rudolph Lepke's Auktion-Haus, Berlin but it is copying the text from above it.

It looks like the party names and dates of sale are getting migrated one party down....

I'll have to come in and figure it out on Monday. Something wacky, for sure.

Yeah, I gave up on it for now- I fixed everything and saved it to KE so I didn't keep starting over. This is a bit of a wild one in terms of provenance, which naturally isn't helping.
