Actionable Guidance About How to Do Research

Materials

Scope

The contents of the provided slides mainly focus on High-Performance Computing (HPC), System and Database.

Description

How to do research is a educational slides project that contains practical and actionable experience about how to do research (including reading, writing and presenting papers).

This slides originate from Hang Liu when he was a PhD student. He actively maintains and updates this slides through his own experience. Now, a considerable number of students, both native and international, find the slides to be constructive!

After a discussion with Dr. Chunhua Liao at ACM FCRC '19, Hang Liu decided to open source the slides, hoping them would benefit the public at large.

How to write an NSF CAREER proposal (my own experience) is presented in the NSF CAREER workshop 2021 at the Stevens Institute of Technology. I truly understood that many junior faculties are doing exceptional researches, but just fell short at putting together a fundable proposal. I sincerely hope that this slide could offer some help. Best of luck!

Please enjoy the materials and your feedback is always welcome!
