Automatically start components in entry point

I'd like to have Asphalt automatically pick up components and start them, so that just by installing a component plugin we can extend an application. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think this is currently possible (components must explicitly be declared in a configuration file).
Would it make sense to have a CLI option for that? Something like:

asphalt run --start_components my_entry_point_namespace
