The latest name is not ideal, but that's the DNX_VERSION that one has to specify.

I've gotten rid of the /opt/dnx thing - it causes problems for dnu restore I think.

@friism historically we used to have a nightly image and then we removed it: #52 simply because they're usually broken (thus cannot include in the CI) and therefore sort of pointless to have.

Also, it is not actually going to be "latest", in the sense all of it is downloaded during image build-time and not pull-time. (Unless we rebuild this thing every 30 minutes.) So the name is also misleading. I think I'm not going to accept this, feel free to close yourself, or please reply if I misunderstood the intent here.

Best thing about Docker is, you can always fork and have your own image very easily, I'm going to suggest that for you.
