Before committing always run the theme against :
gtk-engine/tests/twf 
StarOffice (menu and preferences)
Firefox and Thunderbird (menu and preferences)

To build on OpenSolaris follow the instructions on opensolaris :
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/jds/contributing/building/

To build on Ubuntu :
apt-get the following :
- libc6-dev 
- gnome-devel
- icon-naming-utils
then ./autogen.sh ; make
