The nature of this problem does not allow me to do this. ALL other prerequisites are met!
Description
When tab type is set to soft, size being set to Anything and Soft Tabs checkbox Editor configuration option being either checked or not checked, the tab size of every single existing file is automatically auto indented to one space tab size and manipulating any other options doesn't effect the problem.
Steps to Reproduce
Install latest KDE Neon GNU/Linux distribution (Either should be fine)
Expected behavior: Tab size isn't autoindented to 1 space and using the autoindent editor command makes an effect after changing the tab size and/or type.
Actual behavior: Tab size is stuck at 1 space. Using hard tabs and only manually indenting all of every file will yield me the desired tab size at the expense of having to use hard tabs.
Please offer me any other workarounds. I bet it'll take a while to propagate a fix to lowly Linux and this issue addles my workflow :(
Note that I launch atom with this script called molecule to overcome frustrating issue #8455
Feel free to inquire about additional OS or editor information needed. I can offer extensive detail about customizations to the interface as KDE is quite customizable.
Thank you for such a awesome code editor!
