If you think so, why not submit a patch? :) It worked fine in all modern
browserd when I published this some years ago, but I did use some
experimental APIs and I haven't updated it since then.

What are you talking about? Patch? For what??? Your "reader" can't open any epub made by Calibre. If you can work ONLY with books from the referred site - don't call it "EPUB reader"! Just name it "epubbooks.com ONLY reader".
