I'm getting an error during jspm install -y that's resulting in not having systemjs in the expected location at runtime.

Here's the output of jspm and the error that I'm seeing. This is on a Windows 8.1 machine.

You need to make sure you set up your github credentials with JSPM so you don't get rate limited. This is mentioned in the get started docs.

I did set that up. Prior to doing so, I got the rate limit messages. I
don't get those now.

To be sure, I just retried running "jspm registry config github" with my
credentials. The credential test succeeded (I'm using an access token).
Running the install again still gives the same error.

@ttrentham JSPM has also seen this issue if you are behind a corporate firewall or proxy. Try it out from home or on a different network.

@PWKad Same issue at home from my network vs. at work behind their firewall.

I opened an issue with jspm / github in the hopes that they might be able
to help.

Thanks for your assistance. I appreciate it.

Just to follow up. They were able to help me. It was a cache issue that
calling "jspm cc" fixed.

It may have been caused by trying to do the install prior to entering the
github account information and getting the rate limit error and then fixing
that and trying again.

To whoever runs across this issue, go to the file that it is complaining about, delete it manually and then re-run jspm install -y. Worked for me.

I am a great test case for this because I know zero about jspm or any of this, as I just installed it about ten minutes ago for the first time.

Based on what I saw above (@ttrentham) I just ran:

$ jspm cc

It invalidated my cache (which I didn't know I had) and then I followed up with:

$ jspm install -y

and everything worked perfectly. Or so I suppose, as a bunch of stuff downloaded and it all says "ok" so now I will try running it and see what happens.

I just wanted to chime in there for anyone who comes across the same issue.

leadbaxter's suggestion worked. I had my git credentials properly configured for jspm, had run jspm install -y and received the same error mentioned in the initial issue. I then ran jspm cc and reran the install successfully.

I would recommend this action for future encounters with this issue.

actually ttrentham's idea... else I would not have even know you could do jspm cc since I don't even know what I'm doing.

just sayin'

I was having this same issue. What worked for me is to change the settings of the Github token so it has access to public_repo. This was fixed in a message of the jspm client a few days ago jspm/jspm-cli#867

$ jspm cc and then
$ jspm install -y
worked for me. @leadbaxter thanks
