Please let us know when you have the IMDSv2 support. Any ETA please?

Hi @aqubo , we're currently reviewing the IMDSv2 code changes and making sure that leaks and errors aren't being introduced to Fluent Bit. Can't give an estimate, but hopefully changes will be merged in very soon.

IMDSv2 support has been drafted and approved for merge into 1.8 upstream. We're communicating with the Fluent Bit maintainers on when 1.8.8 will be released and on the inclusion of the following PRs into the 1.8.8 fluent bit.

Reference
Docs: fluent/fluent-bit-docs#610
Master: fluent/fluent-bit#4086
fluent:1.8: fluent/fluent-bit#4114

An aws-for-fluent-bit image with IMDSv2 support has been released. Please see https://github.com/aws/aws-for-fluent-bit/releases/tag/v2.21.0

To use EC2 IMDS in this image, please migrate to IMDSv2 and read the following issue:
#259

A patch is being worked on for Fluent Bit to fall back on IMDSv1 automatically and should be included with this feature when it makes it's way into the stable aws-for-fluent-bit image version.
