v0.0.1: Prologue Pre-release
Pre-release

We are excited to announce the first release of nb1, the new CLI tool for blink(1) USB RGB LED notification devices. This release is our initial draft but encompasses all the basic local features required for device operation. Even though it is just our first step, we wanted to make sure it is a complete one.

Features

  • This version provides a full-featured command-line interface to interact with blink(1) mk2 devices.
  • You can use it to fade the color, set patterns, and modify any device settings of your blink(1) mk2 devices.
  • The software is simple enough to get started quickly but flexible enough to cater to advanced use cases.

Pre-built Binaries

We provide pre-compiled binaries for macOS, Linux, and Windows operating systems that are readily available to download. To install on your system, head over to the 'Releases' section and download the one corresponding to your OS.

Notes

As this is the very first version, it does not include extensive documentation. We are continually working on improving this aspect of the tool, and we hope to have updated, comprehensive documentation available in subsequent releases.

Please keep in mind that this is just a draft release. It is mainly intended for testing and feedback. The toolbox may undergo significant changes in the future, and we seek your co-operation in reporting any issues you come across while using it.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on this initial release. This tool was built with user needs at its core and your input is vital. We want to hear from you either through the Issues or Discussions sections of this repository, so whether it’s a bug report, a feature request, or general comments, we’re listening!

Thanks for your continuous support, patience, and most importantly, for being an integral part of the nascent b1ug community.

Happy tinkering! 💡
