I think mapping ~ to $USERPROFILE is most easily done as follows:

{ ~ }  » mount -f "$USERPROFILE" ~                                                           
{ ~ }  » mount -m > /etc/fstab

I tried this on a few Babun installation and couldn't make it work... Restarting Babun seemed to reinitialize every file/folder and a bunch of errors or displayed on screen. Not sure what I did wrong.
