Describe your issue or idea

The commit at backdrop/backdrop@f0ca56a (part of the Drupal 7.51 crossports issue at #2774) broke the test suite. We now get two errors:

System: Update functionality (UpdateScriptFunctionalTest)

    fail "This is a requirements info provided by the update_script_test module." found system.test:2078

Update: Update contrib functionality (UpdateTestContribCase)

    fail The admin theme is checked for update even if it's disabled update.test:514

Steps to reproduce (if reporting a bug)

Checkout 1.x or 1.8.x branches. Run the above failing tests either via UI or command line.

Relevant version/system information (if applicable)

1.x and 1.8.x. Latest builds.
