The barium-133 experiment at UCLA is a joint project with professors Eric Hudson and Wes Campbell, with the goal of utilizing barium-133 as a trapped-ion qubit. This wiki is intended to be a resource guide for group members or anybody interested in the experimental control software we use. For those interested in the experimental details, visit the group home pages via the above links.

LabRAD

Currently we use LabRAD for the experimental control software. Much of the information found on this wiki has been copied from the official LabRAD wiki, or other useful resources. We hope to consolidate the information necessary to both install and use LabRAD with minimal effort.

ARTIQ

An effort to build a second generation ion trap is underway. We plan to incorporate ARTIQ experimental control hardware and software with existing LabRAD control. As that effort develops more information will be placed on this wiki.
