Can't get firestick to stop beeping/chirping in background

I'm using this because I can't get passed the initial firestick setup/update process on an older firestick.
When I start the firestick launcherHijack works well except it starts before i'm able to do the first step of the firestick setup which is "press home" to pair the remote.
The remote works fine but because the firestick setup is still running in the background it just keeps making that ping/beeping noise in the background every 30 seconds. I can get to the firestick settings but can't figure out how to stop it from making that noise which is pretty frustrating.

is there a way to get back to the setup screen vs the settings screen? This will happen every time the firestick restarts.
