EmulationStation #58
Comments
yes, a long time ago. |
From what I've read on fieldofcows github which implemented this feature for the RetroPie-EmulationStation it does help for people with systems populated with thousands of roms. Why do you think it's not a good idea ? |
Also if you are not willing to go the SQLite road this PR looks pretty interesting as it mitigates the biggest EmulationStation issue with current XML metadata system : RetroPie/EmulationStation#78 |
@rtissera it is a good idea, but what i wanted to say is that it need time to make it work. because it will not work out of the box. it is why i added, any integration is welcome ;-) |
there is a pr somewhere on the original es github, but i can't find it again which includes this port. i looked at it some times ago. |
@rtissera i've done 5.2 with mame2010. no news about xu4 and 44100 sound issue ? |
I have not been able yet to isolate the issue, sadly.
The mame2010 core also needs proper aspect ratio handling (right now everything is forced to 4:3, whatever the aspect ratio and/or orientation is).
Better keep mame2003 as default so far.
