Backup and sync failing on Ubuntu 16.04

I've been using nixnote2 on Ubuntu 16.04 for about 2 years. In the last few days it has stopped syncing to the Evernote server. Running nixnote2 sync gives:

you seem to use old version 2.0... so I can't see anything meaningful in the log file
but it looks its the same as robert7#151 (not #151 😄 )
you can upgrade to 2.1 https://github.com/robert7/nixnote2/releases

There is a fix available in version version 2.1.6-rc6, see linked ticket for more info.

Thanks ... it looks as though I need to get on with an overdue update of my system from Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04: it is telling me that 2.0.2-0 is the latest supported version of Nixnote2 for Ubuntu 16.04.

I also found that I was able to sync my notes today by running nixnote2 immediately after a restart .. so perhaps the root cause of this issue is with Ubuntu 16.04 .

No.. the root cause was "misbehaving Evernote servers"... so maybe they fixed the behaviour meanwhile.
Up until the Ubuntu ~19.04 the version in the oficial repository is 2.0.2.
In 20.04 in the oficial repository there should be already version 2.1.x.

But you can always install 2.1 version from my PPA (even for Ubuntu 16.04).
